When one looks to the horizon, one can only make out the shapes of the figures there through their colors. In this exhibition, abstraction of moods and sights envelop the gallery walls. It invites the viewer to look more closely at what might lie within the canvas filled with pigments.
Coming out of the pandemic with a renewed visual language, De Juras sheds light upon the ramifications of physical and mental constraint. Thus, “STILL,” his first solo exhibition, refers to the burnout feeling due to monotonous mundane routine induced by confinement and isolation.
Enigma attempts to decode anonymity, curiosity, and distortion through a deconstruction of perceptual stimulation and cognitive reasoning in the body of art.
